Homeopathy #01

What is Homeopathy?
Homeopathy is an holistic therapy that treats the individual rather than a diagnosed disease. Being holistic it considers the whole person - body, mind, emotions and spirit. Many people use homeopathic treatments to maintain their good health, rather than to cure ill health.
Unlike most traditional medicine, homeopathy treats 'like with like'. Homeopathy believes that any treatment that would cause symptoms in a healthy person, can be used to treat those symptoms in someone who is ill.

What treatments are used?
All treatments are non-toxic and are made from various substances including flowers and plants and minerals. Many have been used for many years but new treatments are being tested and proved all the time.

Are there any risks with Homeopathy?
It is very important to get the dose right for the individual, considering all aspects of the person. Taking too much of a treatment can worsen symptoms rather than improve them. That is why it is important to see a registered homeopath rather than treating yourself with over the counter products.

How do you decide what treatments to use
Firstly we need to know what symptoms you have and what the underlying cause of these may be. We will ask you about your physical and emotional symptoms, your medical history and anything else you feel is relevant to your condition. We may also carry out a brief physical examination. This will help us to identify what the underlying cause of your symptoms is likely to be and allow us to suggest the most appropriate treatment.

The Acupuncture,Homeopathy and Stress Management clinic is located by the sea in Greystones within easy reach of Bray, Dublin and Wicklow by road and rail via the N11 motorway and the Dart.
