Joan has not only a deep understanding of Chinese Medicine but also of Western Medicine from her many years as a Registered General Nurse.In 1996 Joan gained extensive experience working in the main teaching hospital in Kunming,China which inspired her to establish one of the first NHS Acupuncture Clinics in London. She uses an holistic approach in diagnosing and treating various physical and emotional conditions.Joan provides her client’s with a thorough explanation of the fundamental TCM concepts of restoring or maintaining balance between Yin and Yang in the body. Joan’s very unique intuitive approach is treating the body in its entirety, not merely the presenting problem to empower her clients to maintain optimum health.She is committed to providing the highest level of treatment at her peaceful clinic in Greystones as reflected in the testimonials from doctors,therapists and patients. Joan went to Japan in April 2015 received training from very experienced Acupuncturists and returned with a deeper understanding of Japanese Acupuncture. She then completed a course in Japanese Acupuncture for Children (Shonishin) with the highly respected Stephen Birch in Dublin.
